Like most people, I occasionally shop for high-ticket items. Recently, I needed a new queen-size bed—the old one had outlived its support.
This search introduced me to two very different approaches to service —
highlighting how communication and collaboration shape outcomes
.
The first representative was pushy from the start, focusing solely on price. When I politely declined, he accused me of being rude. Needless to say, no sale was made.
The second representative could not have been more different—polite, clear, educational, and attentive to my needs. He guided me with patience, answered questions thoughtfully, and respected my budget. The result? Confidence, clarity, and a completed purchase.
Beyond the Heart of a Champion
This story extends beyond mattresses. Leadership is about compassion, preparation, and persistence without pressure.
It is about showing up in ways that build trust and influence without forcing results.
